Why do I need an ITIN?
The ITIN will serve as your identification number for filing your taxes. Let's say you are working and earning money in the United States, but you do not qualify for a Social Security Number.
If you do not qualify for a Social Security Number (SSN), you will need to apply for an ITIN. An ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number, Tax ID, or Taxpayer Identification Number) will serve as your identification number for filing your tax returns.
